We are looking for a specialist physician in ophthalmology with a focus on medical retina

About us

Our goal is to be a leader in medical retina both nationally and internationally.

The clinic is part of the section's daily work along with research and development in close collaboration with Karolinska Institute.

About the position

We are looking for someone who is experienced, committed, and focused on development. You will work alongside colleagues with high competence. The position also includes teaching and participating in S:t Erik's overall on-call activities.

Your role will include being the section leader for medical retina, which also includes the hereditary clinic. You will lead and plan the daily work in consultation with the chief physician and ensure that there is continuous satisfactory staffing at the clinic. You will also be involved in planning and following up on goals, strategies, and action plans as well as quality follow-up. You should assist in investigations of serious adverse events and investigate and respond to patient complaints. You will ensure that knowledge support is updated and participate in the planning and implementation of workplace meetings in the section.

Qualifications

You are an experienced specialist physician with good and long-standing experience in medical retina. It is an advantage if you have a doctorate, good pedagogical skills, and research experience.

Conditions

Permanent full-time employment. A six-month probation period may be applicable.
