Description

As our colleague goes on parental leave, we are now looking for someone to substitute as a school psychologist for her at our three schools: Frejaskolan, Björkåsskolan, and Flatåsskolan during 2026.

Frejaskolan is located in the Sydväst 15 school area and is a K-9 school with approximately 650 students. Björkåsskolan and Flatåsskolan belong to Sydväst 2 and are both K-6 schools with a total of about 950 students. Here, you will play an important role as part of the student health team (EHT), contributing to the students' learning environment.

Our areas of development are increased goal fulfillment and systematic quality work, all aimed at providing students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their abilities and reach the goals.

Responsibilities

As a psychologist, you will work with assessments and evaluations of students, groups, or parts of the organization to contribute to knowledge about the conditions for health, learning, and development. The assignment also includes supervision, consultation, and support for individual educators and teams.

As a psychologist, you report to the principal, like all other professions in student health. You are a cohesive link between all three schools and provide the psychological expertise in the combined student health.

The primary school administration has a well-developed management system based on the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), with a PLA in each educational area. Each educational area also has two professional developers who are also psychologists. As a psychologist in the Sydväst educational area, you will be part of a group of about 15 other psychologists who meet for professional meetings half a day each month. You will also be offered to join a group for external supervision.

The position is temporary from March 1 to December 20, 2026. The employment rate is 100%.

Qualifications

Formal Competencies:

We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working as a psychologist in schools in socio-economically disadvantaged areas. Experience in supervision, PAX, consultation, as well as assessment and evaluation is also meritorious.

Personal Competencies:

You have the ability to listen to others and are responsive to their needs. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You are also flexible and can easily adapt your work methods based on changing conditions and new information.

You are collaborative and have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. In your work, you are structured and clear and have the ability to take initiative and make decisions within the framework of your assignment. You also prioritize your efforts together with the principal and other student health staff.

The professional role requires a high degree of independence, collaboration skills, and personal maturity. You also enjoy working with complex issues. Finally, you remain calm in difficult situations and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure.

We warmly welcome your application if you want to contribute and make a real difference in the lives of children and youth!

As an employee in our administration, you will be offered, among other things, wellness grants, bicycle benefits, and employee support.
