About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained healthcare assistant with several years of work experience. Experience in healthcare or emergency care is an advantage but not a requirement.

The work can be demanding at times and requires stress resilience and prioritization skills. You can take the initiative to solve and manage the situations that arise. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You act professionally in all respects and meet patients, colleagues, and partners in a humble and respectful manner.

You have a commitment to wanting to develop and improve and have a positive attitude that contributes to a good work environment.

Your Future Workplace

The Emergency Clinic at the County Hospital in Kalmar provides emergency care around the clock, both for individuals who have sought help at the emergency department and those who arrive by ambulance. We collaborate with most clinics at the hospital, ambulance services, the police authority, correctional services, social services, other hospitals, and home care in nearby municipalities.

Our clinic consists of two parts;

The Emergency Department:

At the emergency department, we work in teams of doctors, nurses, and healthcare assistants, with support from medical secretaries and administrative staff. You will participate in the assessment, treatment, and care of individuals seeking the emergency clinic. There is also triage, which is the first contact with patients; we work with triage according to Retts, to manage patients at the right level of care and in a timely manner as much as possible.

The Acute Care Unit AVA:

is a hospital-wide resource with 14 care places. It is a one-day unit where we assess and treat patients who need continued observation and/or short-term care for a maximum of one day. We have a close collaboration with the geriatric advisory team located at the emergency clinic.

The County Hospital in Kalmar is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialized care, maternity care, and postnatal care. Over 2300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents. Our employees' continuous development efforts lead to good results in several national measurements. The hospital is located near Kalmar city center and Kalmarsund.
