JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you looking for a summer job that provides valuable experience, good introduction, and great flexibility? Welcome to summer work as a nurse in Kalmar Municipality!

We are looking for nurses who want to work within Kalmar Municipality's health and medical care during the summer, both newly graduated and those with more experience. Here you will have a meaningful, independent, and varied job where you work closely with the patient's daily life while having the support of an engaged team.

As a nurse with us, you will work with advanced home care, medication management, end-of-life care, and wound dressings. You will meet patients of various ages and with varying health and medical care needs.

The work is both independent and team-based. You will collaborate with nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, care managers, and unit managers. We also collaborate with external actors such as habilitation, psychiatry, and health centers.

To create the best possible conditions during the summer, we have several of our regular nurses working throughout the summer. They contribute with continuity, clear routines, and knowledge of the operations.

You can choose to work day/evening or night shifts. Weekend work is included. You have the opportunity to request your desired employment rate. The introduction will be tailored to your experience and needs. For those who enjoy working with us, there may also be opportunities to be considered for positions after the summer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and want to work during the summer. It could be you who:

• has recently graduated and is curious about working as a nurse in municipal primary care
• is experienced and wants a varied summer assignment
• works at another workplace during the year but wants to work locally in the summer
• is retired but wants to contribute your expertise for a limited period

Regardless of background, we value that you are confident in meeting patients and have a positive and solution-focused attitude. The position requires that you can work independently as well as in a team. As a person, you are structured and can prioritize your work.

A driver's license is a requirement.

You will also need to provide a current extract from the police criminal record. It can be obtained from the police's website. The extract is called HVB-hem.

OTHER

Kalmar Municipality checks identity and work permits before anyone is employed. This means that you who are applying for a job with us need to show identification. If applicable, you may also need to present your residence and work permit.
