JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for temporary substitutes for our operations within Elderly Care.

Do you want an important and meaningful job? At the Social Administration, we work with people, and we are responsible for the care of the elderly and disabled. Those of us who work here support each other in our common goal of providing the best possible service and care to the residents of Vimmerby municipality. A job with us means that you gain valuable work experience and the opportunity to create new contacts. We have fair employment conditions, and as a new temporary substitute, you will undergo an introductory training.

Job Description

The tasks involve facilitating the daily life of individuals who, due to age or illness/disability, need support to manage in everyday life. The main principle is to provide support and assistance based on the user's approved interventions, self-determination, and participation. The work consists of support and help with personal care and service interventions. Personal care may include assistance with showering, morning, lunch, and evening help. Service interventions may include cleaning, for example. The tasks also include documentation in our documentation system, Lifecare, and performing health and medical tasks as delegated by the responsible nurse.

Working hours are distributed across days/evenings/weekends and night shifts.

Home Care

Home care is a collective term for various forms of care, support, service, and security that we provide in the user's home. Home care performs the interventions that the assistance officer has assessed that the user needs. What should be performed for the user during each visit is on a schedule in your work phone. Six groups work in Vimmerby, and four groups work in the outskirts.

Residential Care

We assist users with support and help with personal care, meal assistance, and service interventions. There is a large residence in Vimmerby, one in Storebro, and one in Södra Vi. The departments are divided by different physical disabilities, dementia diagnoses, short-term units, and daily activities.

Night Shifts in Home Care and Residential Care

Night shifts involve work either within a night patrol that travels around the municipality or within a residential care facility that meets the users' needs at night.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is at least 18 years old
  • Has education as a nursing assistant, caregiver, or equivalent training.
  • Experience in the field is an advantage.
  • A class B driver's license is required for home care and night shifts. A class B driver's license is also desirable for residential care.

In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and interest in the position. As a person, you are responsible and flexible, you have a service-oriented approach, and a positive attitude with a good and respectful demeanor. It is important that you can work independently while also having good teamwork skills. The work also requires documentation, so you must be computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. If you can speak another language, that is a plus.

The position is subject to ID control.

As an applicant, you must present a valid passport, national ID card, or personal certificate before employment occurs.

If you are hired as a temporary employee, you will undergo a web introduction upon employment. You will also need to sign a confidentiality agreement.
