Nurse for the Emergency Department

In the role of a nurse in the emergency department, you will be responsible for assessing and triaging patients, as well as providing nursing care, administering medications, and taking samples. The work is done in close collaboration with colleagues, where team spirit and communication are central parts of the job. About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. Experience in emergency care is an advantage but not a requirement. As a person, you are engaged, curious, and see opportunities even in challenging situations. You take initiative, have a desire to develop in your professional role, and are happy to contribute to the development of the organization by sharing your knowledge and experiences. You find it easy to communicate and interact with others.

Your Future Workplace

At Västervik's emergency department, highly specialized emergency care is provided around the clock, every day of the year. You will work in a team with nursing assistants, in close collaboration with doctors and secretaries during the initial acute management of severely ill and injured patients. As a nurse, you have overall responsibility for assessment, triage, and providing nursing interventions, administering medications, and taking samples.
