Training Employment as a Specialist Nurse within Region Kalmar County

As a nurse within Region Kalmar County, you have the opportunity to further your education through a training employment.

A training employment means that you study to become a specialist nurse while maintaining your base salary. You will be permanently employed in the department where you will then work as a qualified specialist nurse.

When you apply for a training employment, you also need to apply to the specialist nursing program via www.antagning.se (http://www.antagning.se). The deadline for applications to the specialist nursing program in pediatrics starting in the autumn semester of 2026 is March 16.

An offer of training employment can only be made once you have been accepted into the program.

The Children and Youth Clinic provides specialized care to children and adolescents aged 0-18 with medical conditions. We offer care for patients around the clock, every day of the year. The County Hospital in Kalmar is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialized care, maternity care, and postnatal care.
