Kalmarsund Gymnasium Federation is a municipal federation responsible for conducting and developing upper secondary education and municipal adult education for the member municipalities of Borgholm, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, and Torsås. We have approximately 4000 students and 600 employees distributed across our five schools.

Jenny Nyström School is one of the upper secondary schools in Kalmarsund Gymnasium Federation and has over 900 students distributed across six different national programs and five introductory programs. Within Jenny Nyström School, there is also an adapted upper secondary school. We are a forward-thinking school with an open climate that believes in both you as a teacher and in our students.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a school nurse, you are part of Jenny Nyström School's student health team and work closely with students, colleagues, and school management. You are part of a student health team where you contribute your expertise to the joint health-promoting and preventive work with our students.

The work is both independent and team-based and takes place at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You work proactively and preventively with students' health and lifestyle, identifying factors that may affect their learning and well-being.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• conducting health conversations
• performing basic medical interventions
• working proactively in areas such as health and lifestyle
• guiding and supporting school staff in student health issues
• collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• contributing to the development of the school's student health work

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with further education in child and adolescent health or as a district nurse.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you have strong relational skills and the ability to create trusting meetings with students, guardians, and colleagues. You work independently, structured, and with a clear student focus while maintaining a health-promoting and preventive perspective in your work.

You enjoy collaborating with others and actively contribute your expertise to your team. You are confident in your profession and can adapt your working methods based on different situations and needs. You also have a development-oriented approach and want to contribute to the overall development of student health work.

OTHER

Before an employment offer, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record for work within schools must be presented.
