Psychologist Wanted for Habilitation Center Järva Children

Habilitation Center Järva Children is pleased to expand our unit with an additional psychologist position! We are now looking for an experienced psychologist interested in working with challenging behaviors.

We are a wonderful and dedicated team with a lot of knowledge and an open atmosphere. Our work is characterized by enthusiasm and great commitment to our patients. We work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of special educators, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physiotherapists, providing services to patients and their relatives both individually and in groups. Our clinic serves children and adolescents aged 0-18 living in the Järva district and Sundbyberg municipality.

Working with us offers a stimulating and varied job in a pleasant workgroup with a good work environment. You will receive collegial support from other practitioners in the unit and have the opportunity for supervision within the team. We apply flexible working hours and offer benefits such as free healthcare, a generous wellness allowance, and wellness activities during working hours.

Job Responsibilities:

You will have individual counseling sessions with children/adolescents and provide support to guardians in their parenting role. You will also give advice, support, and consultation to individuals in the patient's network, such as relatives and other care providers. The work involves following the patient's development, providing support to prevent and reduce challenging behaviors, strengthening communicative interaction, and informing about the impact of disabilities in daily life. Your work may also involve leading groups and lectures. Our patients often have complex needs that require collaboration, not only within the team but also with care neighbors, municipal services, and other authorities. The tasks are varied and require flexibility as you will not only meet patients at the habilitation center but also, when necessary, in their local environment.

All services provided are documented in our journal system Take Care. We work systematically according to a structured care process and use habilitation programs as support in planning and implementing interventions.

We are looking for:

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with at least five years of professional experience and expertise in autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities. You have good knowledge of TBA as a method and are interested in and want to work with challenging and complex behaviors.

We want you to have experience working with children and adolescents aged 0-18 with neuropsychiatric diagnoses. It is beneficial if you also have experience in collaboration and leading groups as well as conducting developmental assessments. You will belong to our IFRN team but need to be open to receiving patients from the autism team as needed.

You are an initiative-taking person, interested in development, and motivated to find solutions based on the patient's focus. You enjoy working both independently and in a team and take responsibility for planning, developing, and driving patient work forward in a structured manner. You are interested in providing group interventions, have good computer skills, and experience working with digital meeting tools as many meetings are held remotely.

With us, you need to be able to collaborate and be driven by collegial learning as you work closely with other professional categories in your unit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis during the application period.

Permanent employment, full-time. Start date by agreement.

Application deadline 15/12-25

The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
