Are you a dedicated nurse who is confident in your professional role and wants to work in ambulance care? Then you are warmly welcome to apply to us!

The Ambulance Operations Area (VO) is responsible for ambulance services in northwestern and southwestern Skåne with ambulance stations in eleven locations. The ambulance service in Region Skåne has developed into a regionally equal operation with cooperation across previous county borders, limitless dispatching, common treatment guidelines, and shared professional development. The operational area includes approximately 380 employees.

The administration is undergoing change and development in several areas such as competency enhancement, research, education, and quality assurance, which brings positive effects for both patients and employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for nurses and ambulance nurses for our teams in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. The positions are permanent employment starting in April.

The ambulance is often the first on the scene, and the intervention can be crucial for the patient. As an ambulance nurse, you work with pre-hospital emergency care where you meet patients of all ages who have suffered from acute illness or injury. You assess and treat patients at home, at the scene of the accident, and during transport to healthcare facilities. The work as an ambulance nurse is qualified and independent. The focus is on good care and compassion in patient interactions. You work in a team and always travel together with an ambulance caregiver, another nurse, or a specialist-trained nurse.

Our operations run around the clock, every day of the year.

As a new employee with us, you will be offered an introduction of about seven weeks tailored to your previous experience and competencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish that at least correspond to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. A valid B driver's license and good driving experience are required for the position. A C1 driver's license or a B license obtained before July 1996 is an advantage for the position. We would like you to have specialist training focused on ambulance care or other relevant specialist training, but it is not a requirement. Additionally, we see it as desirable that you have work experience from emergency care.

Working in an ambulance requires personal maturity and good judgment. We value that you are confident and well-established in your role as a nurse. You are engaged in your work, and your willingness to contribute to the development of the operation is of great value. The operations in today's ambulance care impose significant medical and technical demands but also require flexibility. At one moment you work under great pressure, and the next you have all the time in the world. Most often, you and your colleague are welcomed and desired, but there are also times when your presence is unwanted for some reason. But one thing is certain - you make a difference every day for citizens in Region Skåne. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

The recruitment process consists of an interview and, if you are selected to proceed to the next step in the process, you will be invited to a physical test. The introduction starts on 26-04-20.

In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection. You are warmly welcome to submit your application today; we look forward to getting to know you!
