Do you want to promote effective knowledge building and collaboration to accelerate the development of electrified transport? We are now looking for an engaged and results-oriented Operations Manager who wants to lead, develop, and grow with a central part of SEEL's operations. About us SEEL Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory is a collaboration between Chalmers and RISE for research and development of electromobility. SEEL has three testing facilities in Sweden: Gothenburg, Nykvarn, and Borås.
SEEL aims to strengthen effective knowledge building and collaboration between industry, academia, and research to accelerate the development and go-to-market of electrified transport. We also contribute to establishing a sustainable and competitive battery value chain in Sweden and Europe. SEEL also works with companies from Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, Poland, and Germany in an important project of common European interest for batteries, IPCEI Batteries.
SEEL aims to offer the industry a “one-stop shop” for electromobility, a comprehensive solution including research, testing, certification, and consulting. We provide competent testing services for the automotive and aerospace industries, the maritime sector, and technology developers, from individual components to complete products and systems, and across a wide range of TRL levels. The industry is offered a common platform to meet and jointly benefit from the knowledge development and technological shift that is ongoing. Researchers from colleges, universities, and research institutes also gain access to advanced research infrastructure in electromobility.
About the role As the Operations Manager for SEEL Nykvarn, you will have overall responsibility for the development of the operations. You will develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that ensure the laboratory's safety and efficiency, create personnel plans, ensure training, and also participate in recruitment. You will be responsible for both short- and long-term development of SEEL's business and have frequent meetings with our customers. You are a present manager who takes responsibility for the daily coordination and management of the operations.
You will be part of SEEL's management team and report to the CEO. The position is located in Nykvarn.
In the role of Operations Manager for SEEL's facility in Nykvarn, you are ultimately responsible for the condition of the facility, its operations, and personnel. The responsibilities include:
- Work environment and electrical safety responsibility
- Fire protection responsibility
- Operation, maintenance, and chemical coordination responsibility
- Internal/external property management
- Business and financial responsibility
- Customer responsibility
- Business strategic planning and development
- Project management within laboratory development and expansion
- Improvement work
Employment type: permanent employment Start: 1/3-2026 or as soon as possible Location for the assignment: On-site in Nykvarn Scope: 100 %
The position may be classified in a security class, which means that a security review may occur in the future.

We are looking for someone who has (requirements):
- A business-related technical degree, engineering degree, or equivalent educational background and/or experience.
- Experience in a leadership position in a technical development laboratory within the relevant industry.
- Experience in corporate management and/or senior project management within laboratory development.
- Experience from the automotive industry and electromobility.
- Good leadership skills
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driving license B
- MS Office
It is advantageous if you:
- Are fluent in German, both spoken and written
- Experience in software development and digitalization
- Experience in innovation and entrepreneurship
