Utility Information Coordinator

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

The Traffic Office is responsible for managing and developing Stockholm's public spaces, ensuring they are safe, attractive, accessible, and sustainable. The mission includes everything from taking care of the existing urban environment to implementing strategic investment projects and planning for tomorrow's growing metropolis. To accomplish our mission, we are about 470 colleagues, mainly located in the newly renovated premises of the Technical Committee House on Kungsholmen. Together, we ensure that Stockholm continues to be a leading city with sustainable transport solutions and vibrant environments, both today and in the future.

Welcome to us

The role is placed in the Lighting Unit where you will work together with 12 dedicated and competent colleagues whose mission is to manage the city's public lighting.

You will also work closely with colleagues in the sister units Infrastructure Technology and Traffic Technology, which manage the city's traffic signals and other technical systems such as ground heating, elevators, escalators, utility tunnels, fountains, and more.

We offer

We offer you a safe workplace where we help and support each other in daily work and care about a good working environment. You will have the opportunity for personal development/skills enhancement as well as participation and influence in the workplace.

We have flexible working hours and the possibility to exchange vacation day allowances for extra time off. Depending on work tasks and operational needs, there is the opportunity to alternate office work with working from home two days a week. Work environment and health are important to us. We offer wellness compensation, wellness hours, and the opportunity to participate in wellness activities.

Your role

As a Utility Information Coordinator with us, you will play a central role in developing and coordinating the city's utility information. You are responsible for ensuring that information about our facilities – such as street lighting, traffic signals, ground heating, and other technical utilities – is current, quality assured, and accessible to the operations.

Your tasks include managing and further developing the systems where utility information is stored, coordinating documentation work, and contributing to common routines and standards. You will support colleagues with map and utility information and ensure that data is shared and used effectively and securely. The role may also involve making minor drawing work in the systems.

Furthermore, you will work with:

  • coordinating utility information work at the office
  • defining routines and standards for utility information at the office
  • participating in managing systems for utility information/facility data
  • participating and to some extent driving collaboration with external actors, such as other utility owners or Utility Kollen
  • retrieving information about utilities from the systems
  • assisting with minor adjustments/drawings of utilities

The role involves close collaboration with several of the city's operations as well as external actors, and you will be an important part of the city's work to digitize, streamline, and secure the management of technical infrastructure.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone with an interest in community building, technology, and digital information, who thrives in a role that combines structure, analysis, and collaboration.

We are looking for you who have:

  • relevant education in community building, geography/GIS, technology, or equivalent experience,
  • several years of experience working with utility information for example street lighting, traffic signals, ground heating, or similar,
  • good ability to work structured and ensure quality in information and data,
  • experience collaborating with both internal and external actors, e.g., other utility owners.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • experience in municipal operations,
  • experience working with technical documentation or map and GIS systems,
  • knowledge of utility information systems (e.g., dpPower, dpCom, Utility Kollen),
  • experience working with information security, data protection, or system management,
  • understanding of technical facilities such as street lighting, traffic signals, or ground heating.

As a person, you are meticulous, collaborative, and have a knack for taking initiative. You enjoy alternating between independent work and collaboration in projects and processes.

Other

When you submit your application, you will need to answer a number of questions that are crucial for our continued selection process for this position. We ask that you answer as thoroughly as possible and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV. Only CVs in Swedish are requested.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.

Warm welcome with your application! The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thereby counteracting discrimination.
