Within Folktandvården, there is a wide range of areas of expertise. We provide both general and specialist dental care and also participate in the clinical education of dentists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, and dental technicians. We work in modern and well-equipped facilities and are located in several places throughout the county.

We are now looking for a dental nurse for Folktandvården Vindeln. As a dental nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. The clinic is centrally located in Vindeln and close to the travel center, making it easy to commute here by bus or train. Vindeln is about 60 kilometers from Umeå.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will have a fun and varied job and will be part of a work team together with dentists and dental hygienists. The work primarily involves assisting practitioners and performing your own patient work such as informing and instructing patients, as well as reception and sterilization work and administrative tasks. If you are newly graduated, you will receive introduction and guidance to help you develop and grow in your professional role.

We also manage the staffing of the Dental Emergency Service at Norrlands University Hospital (NUS) together with other Folktandvården clinics in the Umeå region. The work may also take place outside the clinic, for example, in collaboration with health centers, schools, or elderly care.

We use digital appointment booking and 1177 as well as the T4 journal system and the communication solution Tele-Q. As a dental nurse with us, you contribute structure and security for both patients and the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this job, you need to be a trained dental nurse with an interest and commitment to quality-oriented dental care for children and adults.

We prefer that you have a few years of experience and the ability to independently perform prophylaxis and assess and analyze the need for interventions, which means that you have knowledge and understanding of the significance of oral health for individual well-being and health as well as the impact of general health conditions.

As a person, you are flexible, have good communication skills, can organize and prioritize your work, and see care and service as a natural part of the job. You are attentive to your surroundings and have the ability to adapt your response based on who you meet and what the situation requires. You find it easy to work with others and want to contribute to development that leads to improved working methods. We value good communication skills and a positive attitude.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience in teamwork is an advantage, and we would like you to have knowledge of the T4 journal system, 1177, and Tele-Q.
