About us

The Rehabilitation Unit is a central part of the Social Services' health and medical care and consists of experienced and dedicated occupational therapists and physiotherapists. Together, we work to provide residents in home care, special accommodations, and day activities with safe, equitable, and individualized care of high quality – in accordance with the health and medical care law and the municipality's mission.

With us, you will meet a professional and knowledgeable group that is passionate about its mission and eager to drive issues forward. It is a workplace with high engagement, great professional expertise, and where dialogue is alive. As a manager, you therefore need to feel secure in your leadership and thrive in an environment where there are many perspectives, much drive, and where the professions care for their competence.

You will be part of the management team together with MAR, MAS, business developers, and unit managers for nurses and physiotherapists. Together, you will lead the development of the municipality's health and medical care with the goal of being the best in Sweden – both for employees and the people we serve.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with operations, influence development, and contribute to sustainable working methods in an important societal function.

Job Responsibilities

The area of Health and Medical Care is an inspiring and innovative workplace where collaboration, patient safety, and person-centered care form the foundation. We are now looking for a unit manager who wants to help lead the development of our rehabilitation unit.

You will be responsible for the area that includes occupational therapists and work in close leadership together with the unit manager for physiotherapists and assistive technology specialists. Together, you will drive the operations forward and create coherence and consensus in the rehabilitation chain.

Your responsibilities include:

  • leading, developing, and following up on operations within your area to ensure good, safe, and equitable care and rehabilitation
  • working in close collaboration both internally and externally, for example with other professionals, managers, and external partners
  • ensuring that employees work based on evidence-based methods, applicable guidelines, and the municipality's goals
  • following up on quality, work environment, and finances and translating results into concrete improvements
  • creating a work environment where employees feel secure, take responsibility, and are given the conditions to drive quality work and development themselves

As a manager, you lead through trust, clarity, and presence. You motivate, coach, and provide space for the professions to fully utilize their competence, while offering stability, direction, and support when conditions change.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist. A license as an occupational therapist is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have experience in leadership or management. A B driver's license is required.

We place great importance on your personal qualities and that your leadership aligns well with the needs of the assignment. The role requires you to combine structure and stability with a clear focus on development and an ability to create good collaboration, both within and outside the organization.

You are structured and confident in planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work. You work according to clear processes, follow up on results, and complete what you start. You can plan and implement changes in the workgroup, redistribute staff based on needs, and actively work with the organization's finances.

You are creative and have a knack for seeing new paths forward when conditions change. You think outside the box, see improvement opportunities in everyday life, and contribute to developing both working methods and the competence of the professions.

You are collaborative and build good relationships internally and externally. You have an unpretentious approach and find solutions together with others - whether it concerns colleagues in other units, the region, patients, or relatives. You can handle questions, perspectives, and interests that sometimes clash, while keeping focus on the common goal: good and safe care.
