We are currently seeking a temporary position as a qualified protection assistant who wants to take the next step in their career and make a difference in people's lives by providing safety and support to victims of violence. 

About the organization With extensive experience supporting individuals affected by violence, Patia offers protected placements in safely located accommodations throughout the country. We provide a secure refuge in a protected environment for those who need protection from violence in close relationships or honor-related violence and oppression. Our accommodations are open to women, with or without children, who need protection and support. We also offer protected housing for male victims of violence and couples in the form of private apartments.

At Patia, victims of violence have the opportunity to find respite and begin processing their experiences. We offer both emergency interventions and crisis support, as well as long-term assistance to find independent housing and establish themselves in a new location.

About the position We are now seeking a temporary qualified protection assistant for our operation Kvinnohuset Ljung with a workload of 50-85%. The operation is staffed around the clock, which means that working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, nights (with sleeping on-call duty), and weekends.

As a qualified protection assistant, you will work to create a safe and secure environment for women and children in need of protection.

Your responsibilities In your role, you will be responsible for following up on the victim's protection, safety, and well-being. You will provide support during contacts with authorities such as social services, the tax agency, healthcare, police, and legal counsel, thereby contributing to creating stability and security for the individual.

Your work includes, among other things:

• Responsibility for protection and support measures for female victims of violence and children.
• Establishing and revising implementation plans as well as compiling monthly reports and risk analyses/assessments.
• Childcare as needed, for example, when the guardian has meetings with the police or legal counsel.
• Performing practical tasks such as cleaning and shopping to create a safe and functioning everyday life.

We are looking for someone who is independent and goal-oriented, with a strong desire to use your skills and experience to make a difference. You have a genuine commitment to the target group and are a mature, secure person who remains calm even in stressful and demanding situations.

You have a natural ability to create a calm, safe, and positive environment for both clients and colleagues. As a relationship-building and empathetic person, you can build trust while setting clear and consistent boundaries. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Your qualifications

To be considered for the position, we see that you meet the following requirements:

• Post-secondary education (at least 2 years) in social work, such as a social educator, social worker, or other relevant education.
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Experience working in protected housing, HVB, or support housing.
• B driver's license

Meritorious:

• Training in VINR (Violence in close relationships).
• Competence in HRV (Honor-related violence) and crisis management.
• Knowledge of methods such as Trappan-samtal, FREDA, and PATRIARK.
