We are looking for a property caretaker who enjoys practical work and a wide range of tasks, both indoors and outdoors. You will play an important role in keeping our facilities at Esrange safe and functional, ensuring that operations run smoothly every day.

YOUR ROLE

In this role, you will work practically and independently with operations, maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general property-related tasks. The work is varied and changes depending on the season and the needs of the operations.

Your main tasks include:

• Operating heavy machinery such as wheel loaders
• Conducting rounds and inspections according to the annual plan
• Assembly, simple construction work, and logistics within the work area
• Snow removal and handling of fault reports
• Workshop work and vehicle maintenance
• Working with brush cutters and chainsaws
• Contributing to long-term planning of internal and external maintenance
• Supporting technology development and efficiency within the property team
• Putting safety first for both employees and clients
• Participating in customer meetings and client contacts in a professional and service-oriented manner
• Managing purchases and following established routines

WHO YOU ARE

To thrive and fit in the role, we see that you:

• Have good knowledge of operations, maintenance, and repair of properties
• Have a practical vocational background, preferably in construction, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, or as a machine operator
• Enjoy varied work and take responsibility for completing tasks
• Are solution-oriented, meticulous, and confident in making decisions when the situation requires it
• Collaborate well with colleagues and engage with clients in a professional manner
• Work in a structured way and follow routines with safety as the highest priority

Desired qualifications:

• Driving license for tractor and snowmobile
• B driver's license

Meritorious:

• C driver's license
• Experience as a property caretaker or property technician

LOCATION

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Esrange spaceport outside Kiruna.
