About Us

Ektorps Healthcare Center and Home Care is part of SLSO – Region Stockholm.

We offer person-centered care at home with the goal of creating security for our patients and their relatives.

Our great location at Ektorps Center near Nacka Hospital means good communication and proximity to radiology, laboratory, and other specialist clinics and departments at the hospital.

We who work at Ektorp are a professional, cheerful group with an open atmosphere, and we collaborate and drive our clinic forward together. Our doors are always open for both questions and support.

We have about 38 employees, specialists, ST and AT doctors, district nurses, nurses, psychologists, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries, of which 10 employees work with home care. This includes three nurses/district nurses and five nursing assistants, as well as one district doctor. Additionally, we have well-established clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, and a well-functioning psychosocial unit.

We offer internal training in several stages that strengthen your leadership, as well as the opportunity for remote work based on the needs of the organization.

About the Position

You will work approximately 50% clinically and 50% as a unit manager, with the distribution varying throughout the year. Lead and develop the home care unit strategically and operationally.

As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for home care, staff, and the work environment, as well as finances. You lead a team of 8 employees, consisting of nursing assistants and district nurses/nurses. You will also work both strategically and operationally to achieve set goals. The role requires flexibility and presence.

You are responsible for recruitment, staffing, onboarding, and mentoring new employees. Together with management and other support functions such as HR and payroll, you create good conditions for collaboration and quality. You report to the operations manager.

Digitalization and improvement work are a natural part of your assignment, and you have good system skills and experience in driving change.

Qualifications

  • We are looking for a licensed nurse with prescribing rights or a district nurse.
  • Experience in a coordinating role, unit manager/deputy, or similar leadership assignments.
  • Good knowledge of legislation in the field of health and medical care, preferably also about SoL and LSS.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good computer and system skills.

It is an advantage if you have led organizations in change and/or have experience in home care.

In patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:

  • background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
