VA Engineer

Do you have a knack for building good relationships and want to use your technical expertise? Then read on about our position as a VA Engineer! It is a job with varied tasks and great personal responsibility, while there is always something to learn.

We are looking for someone with broad practical experience from the construction process, for example in plumbing, who has led teams or currently works as a VA Engineer and now wants to take the next step in their development with us.

Your upcoming role

As a VA Engineer, you will work extensively outward-facing, for example by:

  • Independently handling installation matters by reviewing drawing documents and inspecting VA installations.
  • Providing instructions and advice to everyone from larger construction contractors to private individuals through extensive customer contacts and site visits.
  • Ordering and following up on smaller contracting work from our internal contractors.
  • Calculating connection fees and preparing invoice documentation.

The Cartography & VA Connection unit consists of 13 people who work with customer contacts, connection matters, surveying VA pipes and devices, map production, and drawing archives. Distribution is responsible for all parts of a distribution facility; pipeline networks, pump stations, reservoirs, pressure boosting stations, and tanks. The department is responsible for both renewal planning and pipe network improvements. The responsibility for Bulltofta water treatment plant also lies here.

The role requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Your experiences

We see that you have the following experience to thrive and succeed in the role:

  • VA technical background with practical experience from the VA industry.
  • Class B driver's license.
  • Experience as a team leader or supervisor is meritorious.
  • Experience working with DPWater/Organizer is meritorious.
  • Experience with installation issues related to VA such as service connections or building permit referrals is meritorious.
  • Experience with VA Tax (P120) is meritorious.
