Vehicle Engineer at Euromaint
Do you want to help shape the future of freight locomotive maintenance and contribute to smarter, more sustainable transportation? We are now looking for a Vehicle Engineer for our Freight & Mobility business area – a role where technical responsibility, problem-solving, and customer focus go hand in hand.
About the Role
As a Vehicle Engineer at Euromaint, you will become our technical specialist in freight locomotive maintenance. You play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and lifespan of the vehicles. You will work closely with our project teams and contribute to improving the performance, operational reliability, and quality of the vehicle fleet – always with the customer’s goals and requirements in focus. The role involves broad collaboration both internally and externally, where you act as an advisory expert in technical matters.
Examples of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance instructions and checklists
- Analyze vehicle data, customer reports, and defects
- Manage technical change requests and drive improvement activities
- Provide problem-solving support to Supply Chain regarding material and change issues
- Develop the maintenance strategy for the business area together with the rest of the team
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a technical post-secondary education and experience in maintenance within the automotive industry or experience in the maintenance of rail-bound vehicles combined with a strong technical interest. You have a good ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings and are accustomed to working in various technical systems and tools. You express yourself well in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and hold a B driver's license. As a person, you are analytical, structured, and self-driven. You thrive in a problem-solving role and are eager to take the initiative to drive work forward. You are communicative and collaborative – a team player who can also lead and inspire others.
Additional Information
- Location: Preferred location Luleå, but Vännäs, Stockholm, Borlänge, Örebro, or Malmö may also be relevant
- Start date: By agreement
- Employment type: Permanent employment with a probationary period
- Travel in the job: Approximately 2–3 days per month
