About the operation:

Vallentuna Municipality is looking for a sports facility worker who will work in the municipality's culture and leisure administration, sports & outdoor unit. Currently, there are 12 employees in the sports & outdoor unit who work together in teams for the maintenance and development of the municipality's sports facilities, gymnasiums, trails, swimming areas, and running tracks.

Job Responsibilities:

As a sports facility worker, you will be responsible for machine maintenance, upkeep, and operation of the municipality's facilities. A workday can be structured in different ways depending on the season of the year. Most of the tasks are performed at Vallentuna sports facility where the municipality's ice rinks, football fields, and running tracks are located. During the summer season, some tasks are located at the municipality's swimming facility, Kvarnbadet. The municipality also has sports facilities and venues spread throughout the municipality that also require maintenance and operation. Tasks you will perform include; lawn mowing, facility operation, ice maintenance with an ice machine, upkeep of running tracks, tracking of ski trails, and plowing of lake ice in winter, machine maintenance of the machines belonging to the leisure administration's fleet. The work is scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends, as well as on-call at certain times.

Qualifications:

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent education relevant to the position.
• You are practically inclined and know how to handle tools, machines, and vehicles belonging to a sports facility.
• Requirement that you have a B driver's license.
• It is advantageous if you have experience working with similar tasks and are used to working with elements that are part of a sports facility.
• It is advantageous if you have a license for other vehicles such as a tractor or similar.
• It is advantageous if you are a trained mechanic as this competence can be utilized during a workday.
