JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the municipality's technical operations, about 65 employees work in the units: Street/Park, Waste, Water Supply Network, Water Treatment Plant, and Project & Investigation. The units with different areas of responsibility collaborate with each other in daily operations and in connection with investigations and investment projects. Sollefteå Municipality's technical operations cover the entire municipality, and we are responsible for some of society's most fundamental functions.

The position is located in the Project and Investigation unit with about ten employees who will function as a support function for the other units. The unit is responsible for services such as design, project management, land and development, traffic, lighting, GIS, measurement, forestry, fees, water protection areas, etc.

We are now looking for a new team member who wants to take on the role of designer, and perhaps we are right for each other? You will be offered stimulating tasks in a municipality on a strong upward trajectory with several establishments underway, where you, together with your colleagues, drive development forward!

As a designer with us, you will work with design and investigation primarily within the areas of water supply network and road. In addition, the work may consist of design within other land and construction projects.

The work consists of producing construction documents in the form of drawings, cost estimates, quantity lists, administrative regulations, etc. You will also participate in the procurement of contracts.

The tasks are varied as you are often involved all the way from start to finish, and you have a great opportunity to influence the projects. The investigation work may consist of, among other things, strategic planning of needs for measures, technical calculations and analyses, as well as statements to authorities and politics.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you have suitable technical education at the university level in civil engineering, road and water, or other equivalent relevant education or work experience. Perhaps you have studied to become a water project designer or engineer.

Previous experience in design within the areas of water supply network and road is meritorious. You have good knowledge and experience with data and can use various IT tools. We use AutoCad and Novapoint as design tools, and experience with these systems is meritorious. Knowledge of the AMA system is also considered meritorious.

You preferably have a few years of experience in the profession, but newly graduated candidates with the right focus can also be relevant.

In the role of designer, you have a significant coordination responsibility and many different contacts, both internal and external. Therefore, it is important that you have good social skills, appreciate creating and maintaining good relationships, contribute to good collaboration, and are self-driven in your work.

A valid driver's license (B) is required, as well as proficiency in the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
