Highways & Roads is a Sub Sector within WSP Sweden that has expertise in investigations, traffic, road technology, road design, and the preparation and delivery of road plans and construction documents. The sub-sector operates in all disciplines and stages of road projects and has the Swedish Transport Administration and contractors as its major clients.

About the roleAs a People & Portfolio Lead within Highways & Roads, you will divide your time between working on assignments and leading your team members while developing the business.

In assignments, you will be responsible for quality, technical, economic, and time frames, coordination with other disciplines, and, of course, meeting the client's requirements. The responsibility is broad, and the environment is very stimulating.

You will contribute to securing the group's skills supply and to establishing and maintaining customer relationships as well as other sales and tender activities. The role offers the opportunity to be involved in developing the group as well as our services in the local market. In the role of People & Portfolio Lead, you will have personnel responsibility for your team members. Together with the Unit Leader and other People & Portfolio Leads, you will work according to established strategies to stimulate a trusting and innovative working climate in the department.

The team members in Sundsvall and Härnösand mostly work in the disciplines of road design, road technology, traffic, and environment.

QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you have several years of professional experience as a consultant, contractor, project manager, or in another position in the civil engineering industry, and a good understanding of the industry and consulting business. Previous experience in road/land, street, or traffic project activities and leadership roles is highly advantageous. As a person, you are structured, you see clear communication as a natural part of your work approach, and you are inspired by the success of others. We also wish that you are accustomed to leading and distributing tasks within a project team.

Since most of our documents and the language we communicate in are Swedish, you need to have very good knowledge of the Swedish language. Knowledge of English is also required, as WSP is a global company where work in English may occur.
