Resource Consultant – Environmental Construction Manager for Exciting Infrastructure Projects

Do you want to work with cutting-edge environmental issues and contribute to some of Sweden's most important infrastructure projects? We are now looking for an experienced construction manager specializing in environmental matters to strengthen our team in projects focusing on sustainability and environmental adaptation.

About the Role

As an environmental construction manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the environmental work in our projects, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and the environmental requirements of the contracts. You will be a key link between the project and the contractor, providing support in environmental matters and liaising with supervisory authorities.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Ensuring that contracts are carried out in accordance with contract documents and environmental requirements.
  • Following up on notifications and permits, and establishing new cases when necessary.
  • Developing procedures, control programs, and work methods to ensure the Swedish Transport Administration's self-monitoring responsibility under the Environmental Code.
  • Inspecting and monitoring the contractor's work in the field, including inspection plans and work preparations.
  • Conducting sampling of contaminated soil and water when necessary, and analyzing the results.
  • Promoting good collaboration with contractors to ensure progress and quality in the project.
  • Compiling environmental information for handover to operation and maintenance.
  • Working to integrate environmental work in all phases of the project and ensure high environmental adaptation.

Profile Requirements

To succeed in the role, you need to meet the following requirements:

  1. At least 5 years of experience as a construction site follower and/or environmental construction manager in infrastructure projects.
  2. Good knowledge of the Environmental Code.
  3. Valid training to work on tracks at the start of the assignment.
  4. Experience working in project groups where coordination has been crucial.
  5. SGF training or equivalent experience in environmental sampling of soil and water.
  6. Ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
  7. Driver's license (B).
  8. Experience in preparing documentation for the handling of contaminated materials (at least two assignments).
  9. Completed assignments as a construction site follower and/or environmental construction manager in at least two road or railway projects with a budget exceeding SEK 50 million in the last five years.
