As a physiotherapist in rheumatology, you will work alongside other professionals in a well-established team focused on patient care. The team consists of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. The work primarily involves outpatient care but may also include work within inpatient care when a rheumatic patient is admitted. You will also make contributions in other areas as needed.

As a physiotherapist, you will conduct assessments, establish exercise programs for gym/home training/pool training, provide patient education, and perform specific tests for symptom evaluation.

The work is varied, and you have the opportunity to be both creative and follow care programs for specific diagnoses.

About you

You are a licensed physiotherapist. We prefer that you have experience in rheumatology. As a person, you are self-driven, take initiative, and are flexible. You enjoy collaborating with others, are solution-oriented, and structured in your work. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Your future workplace

The occupational therapy and physiotherapy department is part of Rehab Söder. The unit employs about 28 physiotherapists, 14 occupational therapists, 2 rehab assistants, and 1 administrator. We work both in inpatient and outpatient care. The role of physiotherapist is independent but also involves close collaboration with other professionals within the unit and staff in clinics/wards.

Rehab Söder is tasked with offering rehabilitative services to citizens in southern Kalmar County at both specialist and primary care levels. The unit is also responsible for the region's dietitian services in the southern part of the county and for the social work services at Kalmar County Hospital. Services should be provided in collaboration with other healthcare providers and the patient's social network as needed. The goal is for our services to lead to maintained or improved health.

Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and postnatal care. Over 2300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents. Our employees' continuous development efforts lead to good results in various national measurements.
