Waste Collector Wanted for Collection Team

Are you great at service and enjoy varied tasks? We are now looking for a waste collector to join our collection team.

At the recycling center, we are 20 employees working together to manage the collection of household waste, property-close recycling, as well as recycling centers and recycling stations.

The recycling department is part of Water and Waste at the Technical Administration. The department consists of about 200 employees, and we are responsible for ensuring that the municipality's traffic environment is safe and accessible, as well as ensuring that the residents of Kristinehamn have access to clean, fresh, and good drinking water. We also ensure that the municipality's children, youth, and elderly receive nutritious meals at our preschools, schools, and special accommodations. Additionally, we manage the municipality's properties and are responsible for strategic local planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collection of household waste/FNI in rear-loading vehicles
• Manage vehicle computers, RFID equipment, and report deviations
• Wash vehicles and equipment as needed and perform daily maintenance/checks of vehicles and equipment
• Submit vehicles to the workshop as needed
• And other tasks as required at the recycling center.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a valid professional competence certificate and at least a C driver's license.

As a person, you are organized, an early riser, responsible, and keen to greet customers in a friendly manner. Furthermore, you are a communicative person with good teamwork skills who enjoys a varied work environment. If you have strong social skills, you will thrive particularly well as the job offers a lot of customer contact.

Having a license for a vehicle-mounted crane is an advantage.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland and are offered employment, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
