Description

The Recycling business area has about 50 employees who work with collection, recycling centers, and the Djupdalen waste facility.

Every year, we handle approximately 80,000 tons of waste sustainably. We are now looking for employees who can work as needed when regular staff are absent.

Job Responsibilities

As a waste collector, you will work in a team where collaboration and responsibility are important. You meet our customers in their daily lives and help them sort their waste correctly – therefore, it is important that you enjoy a service-oriented role. You contribute directly to our sustainability efforts by collecting waste in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

The work is physical and takes place outdoors. You will work in a modern vehicle fleet with solutions that make the workday easier and safer. The role also includes safety work, vehicle maintenance, and digital documentation, such as reporting deviations.

As a waste collector at Karlstad Energy, you are responsible for:

• Providing a good customer experience.
• Ensuring safe and sustainable waste management.

• Reporting and following up on deviations.
• Contributing to our improvement efforts.

Qualifications

You are service-oriented, positive, and enjoy interacting with people. You collaborate well with others and like to actively work to create improvements in both the work environment and work methods.

You have at least a high school education, and it is an advantage if you have experience in waste management. Since we meet many customers, it is beneficial if you have previous experience in service or customer communication.

For the position, you need:

• C driver's license and YKB
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Basic computer skills

It is advantageous if you have experience driving side-loaders.

The position is a special fixed-term employment where you work as needed.
