About the assignment

The Ostlänken is a 160 km long high-speed railway between Järna and Linköping and constitutes a central part of Sweden's largest infrastructure investments. The project is managed by the Swedish Transport Administration's Stora Projekt division, which is responsible for planning and implementing the country's most complex and socially important investments. Ostlänken creates faster and more sustainable travel, strengthens regional development, and frees up capacity in the existing railway network.

About the role

As a technical specialist in overarching systems, you will support the Swedish Transport Administration's client organization in the Ostlänken project. The role is part of the project's BEST function and involves responsibility for technical requirements, system development, and coordination within facility monitoring, traffic information, and other Tele-IT systems. You will work closely with design, contractors, and internal managers in both the design and construction phases.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Further develop and adapt the overarching system in SCADA GELD for Ostlänken.
• Collaborate with system managers, receiving organizations, and system suppliers.
• Develop technical requirements and contribute to tender documents for facility monitoring, traffic information, camera surveillance, vehicle detectors, and alarm and access control systems.
• Support design and contractors in requirement interpretation and follow up on deliveries in the project's various phases.
• Participate in procurements and preparation of change and additional work.
• Plan and coordinate the integration of new facilities into the Swedish Transport Administration's national monitoring and information systems.
• Represent the BEST function in project meetings and act as a coordinating specialist in the Tele-IT area.

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. Technical university education or equivalent competence acquired through experience and training that the client deems equivalent.
2. At least 3 years of work experience in infrastructure projects within railways.
3. At least 5 years of experience in design, programming, implementation, or integration of facility monitoring overarching systems.
4. At least 5 years of experience working with SCADA systems.
5. Verified knowledge of AB04 and ABK09. If you have not completed both courses yet, we expect you to finish them within six months from the start of the assignment.
6. Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
7. Good knowledge of English in speech and writing.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start on 2026-04-01 and end on 2029-01-31.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional 1+1 year.

Scope: The estimated workload for the assignment is 80-100% of annual working time, amounting to 1,700 hours.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is Solna, Nyköping, Linköping, or Norrköping. Travel between the various project locations occurs regularly. There will be some opportunity for remote work. The possibility of remote work is determined by the project's needs.
