The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Studies, crime and addiction programs, as well as employment in laundry, wood processing, printing, and assembly are examples of activities in Skänninge Prison's ambition to assist inmates in achieving better outcomes. Therefore, the role of Production Leader is both important and appreciated. We are now looking for a new colleague to join our production team!

As a Production Leader, you will lead and participate in the development of the operations with a focus on one of the areas mentioned above. You will be responsible for leading and distributing the work among the inmates and ensuring that planned production goals are met. You will also participate in customer contacts, procurement, and preparation/planning. You may also need to step in as a production leader in other areas if the need arises.

Furthermore, you will contribute to maintaining safety and ensuring that safety regulations regarding machines and other workplace safety regulations are followed. You will be involved in daily work and will show and instruct the inmates in both work tasks and behavior, attitudes, and values. The position does not involve personnel responsibility, only the leadership of the inmates.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have the ability to make correct assessments and priorities. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages based on the recipient's conditions. You should also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires it.

To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in people's willingness and ability to develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally through your approach. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You should have:

  • Completed upper secondary school qualifications in the form of final grades or a high school diploma, or vocational diploma in a relevant area for the position.
  • The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
  • A valid B driver's license.

We consider it advantageous if you have:

  • Work experience in a supervisory role within industrial work.
  • Good knowledge of production in a prison environment.
  • Experience working in a CNC workshop.
  • Wood technology experience.
  • Experience in educational work.
  • Experience in motivational work.
  • Work experience in corrections, security work, social care, psychiatry, or healthcare and social work.
  • Awareness of safety both in terms of workplace safety and client safety.
