The role of nursing assistant/care assistant/attendant

The anorexia unit has day care and outpatient care. In day care, nurses and attendants work. Within the outpatient care of the anorexia unit, two social workers and two nurses with CBT competence work. There are also specialist doctors in the unit.

We are now looking for an attendant for a summer substitute position in the anorexia unit's day care. As an attendant in the anorexia unit's day care, you primarily work with care tasks for day care patients. Case management may be part of the work, where your task is to ensure that the assigned patient and their relatives receive good care during their stay in day care.

As a contact person, you have conversations with the patient where treatment is evaluated and revised, and where the patient's mental care status is monitored. You also report on the patient's condition and treatment plan during rounds. If necessary, you participate, together with a nurse with CBT competence or a social worker, in family conversations as well as in collaboration meetings or other meetings and conversations related to the patient.

If necessary, you perform tasks for attendants in the clinic's other units. The working hours in day care are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Your future workplace

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a county clinic that has a common unit, A Path In (EVI), for telephone advice and triage to child and adolescent health as well as child and adolescent psychiatry. The clinic has three outpatient clinics: in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping. These provide specialized care to children and young people with mental health issues in 13 municipalities. The clinic also has a common care department, located in Jönköping, which provides inpatient care, as well as an anorexia unit for outpatient and day care.

In total, the county clinic currently has about 150 employees in various professions. Together, we meet children and adolescents aged 0-17 with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, attendant, or studying to become a nurse or doctor. We prefer that you have completed the third semester, but individual assessment can be made earlier. We also appreciate if you have experience working with children or in psychiatric care.

To have the best possible summer planning, we look positively on if you can work period 1 - weeks 25-28 and/or period 2 weeks 29-32 during the summer. Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.
