About Us

Youth clinics are for all young people from 13 to 24 years old.

All clinics are LGBTQ-certified and operate according to a joint Cooperation Agreement for the Västra Götaland region and the 49 municipalities in the county. The youth clinics of Regionhälsan are continuously developing their services to provide high-quality care in mental, psychosocial, sexual, and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The youth clinics are a low-threshold service where young people can easily seek help and support. We offer high accessibility and provide youth with person-centered care. The youth clinics in Regionhälsan are currently available throughout Västra Götaland and complement the region's other health and medical care. In Fyrbodal, we have 15 youth clinics and a Young Men's Clinic located in Trollhättan.

Mini-Maria is an integrated outpatient clinic for young people up to 21 years old with risky use, harmful use, or dependence on alcohol, drugs, or gambling. Mini-Maria's mission is to be an easily accessible clinic where young people and their relatives can come for advice, support, and treatment, either on their own initiative or by referral. The service is run in collaboration between municipalities and Regionhälsan. The medical staff comes from Regionhälsan, and the psychosocial staff from the municipalities. In Fyrbodal, we have two main clinics, one in Trollhättan and one in Uddevalla, and we also have branch clinics in eight other municipalities.

About the Job

As a doctor at the youth clinics, you will work with direct patient contact, assessments, diagnostics, referrals, and be part of the team with consultations on medical and psychosocial issues. You will also participate in medical meetings, competency-enhancing initiatives, and improvement work.

At Mini-Maria, you will work in a cross-professional team with assessments, diagnostics, referrals, and consultations. The focus is on young people with risky use often in combination with mild mental health issues. In cases of comorbidity or established addiction, the young person will be referred further.

About You

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist training in general medicine. Other specialist training relevant to the services is also acceptable. As a person, you have a good understanding of young people's biological and psychological development. Experience in sexology, gynecology, andrology, psychiatry, and addiction issues is advantageous. It is also positive if you have experience working with youth and young adults.

We would like you to be interested in working in outpatient care. Additionally, it is important that you are flexible and engaged. Teamwork appeals to you, and you are good at collaborating and communicating. You also have a professional attitude towards patients and others in the team.

Conditions

The position involves working at several clinics in at least three different locations: Uddevalla, Trollhättan, and Vänersborg. Additional travel to surrounding municipalities may be required as needed.
