Specialist Nurse with a Focus on Dementia

Do you want to contribute to an increased quality of life for our residents in Strängnäs Municipality? With us, in the role of specialist nurse, you will help provide security, warmth, and increased opportunities for our residents to stay in their own homes longer!

We are now looking for two specialist nurses with a focus on dementia for our home care service. The positions will be placed in home care units 2 and 3. Both Home Care 2 and 3 have approximately 35 employees who contribute to many customers' daily lives through the municipal home care service. We work to ensure that people can live an independent life based on their own conditions. The assignments in home care are characterized by providing care and service of the highest quality. Our area covers both parts of central Strängnäs and the countryside.

You will also act as a mentor to the care staff in their daily care work. Mentoring can be conducted both in your own unit and in other units. Guidance can take place through conversations or in direct care work to enhance the quality for the user.

Your role/assignment as a Specialist Nurse/Silvia Sister is to work based on the principles and values of dementia, using a person-centered approach and Silviahemmet's palliative care philosophy. When you are not working on a specific assignment, you will work in regular care tasks. Care tasks also include case management and social documentation, as well as performing certain health care tasks on behalf of the nurse.

Your personal qualities are important to us! We want you to share the municipality's values of development, respect, openness, and clarity. A positive attitude towards work and a strong interest in working with people are the foundation for you to thrive with us.

You are open, attentive, and easy to collaborate with others, but can also work independently when required. With us, no day is the same, and you thrive on variety and can easily adapt if unforeseen events occur in the work. You have the ability to create trust and instill security, while also being stable, driven, and patient. You are calm and can support, guide, and mentor users in their daily lives.
