About Us

At our medical department, patients with internal medicine diseases are cared for, primarily gastrointestinal diseases, liver diseases, patients with newly diagnosed or poorly controlled diabetes, as well as elderly patients with multiple health issues who require a longer stay before discharge. We also have 2 rheumatology beds.

As a nurse in the department, you are offered a varied, developing, and educational job. The department has 20 beds divided into three care teams. Patient responsibility is about 7 patients per nurse, and you will have 1-2 nursing assistants to support you. The department also has four care leaders who act as mentors for less experienced nurses and work with quality development. The care leaders are also involved in daily work and provide extra support when needed. We see this as very valuable.

We work with a nursing wheel and plan training, lectures, and group discussions based on different topics each month. The work is led by care leaders and a quality-responsible nursing assistant. Every Monday, we have something we call a competence café, where we invite speakers and conduct our own short training sessions, etc. Everything is planned according to the employees' wishes.

We have a discharge coordinator available during the day from Monday to Friday who contacts the municipality, works with Link, and is very helpful to the nurses before discharges. We also have a coordinator during the day from Monday to Friday who sits in our reception. They receive incoming calls, book return trips, arrange transportation for examinations, etc.

A good working environment is very important to us, and we constantly work on good communication, collaboration, and encourage individual development based on personal interests.

Your Responsibilities

Your work includes nursing, medication management, documentation, and assessment of acutely ill patients. You should identify and meet the individual needs of patients by leading and prioritizing the work within the team.

We offer you an onboarding process tailored to your skills and previous experience. The introduction for new nurses is usually 6 weeks but can be extended if necessary. We provide continuous professional development through lectures with doctors, shadowing in other units within the clinic. We, as managers, have a present and attentive leadership style where we also show ourselves in the care setting and are happy to help when it gets busy.

Your Qualifications

You must be a licensed nurse. As a newly graduated nurse, we are a great department to start in, as you will gain a solid foundation for your future career. We are looking for someone who is responsible and patient-focused. You should have good collaboration skills, be flexible and engaged, and prioritize the patient. We also appreciate curiosity about your profession and a passion for development.
