About the workplace Ersta Hospital (https://www.erstadiakoni.se/att-jobba-pa-ersta/Om-att-jobba-pa-Ersta/jobba-pa-ersta-sjukhus/) is part of Ersta Diakoni and is Sweden's largest non-profit hospital with a clear value base – to see the whole person. With roots dating back to 1851, we have provided healthcare in Södermalm, Stockholm, but we welcome patients from all over the country. Here we offer high-quality, specialized healthcare with both breadth and expertise. We are a university hospital unit and conduct research, education, and development in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet. We are growing to help more people, and since 2023, the hospital's capacity has tripled, and eight new operations have started.

The cardiology clinic is part of our medical clinic and offers scheduled visits on weekdays for patients in need of specialized care in cardiology. The clinic is modern and well-equipped with well-developed patient flows. By using our resources in the best way, we can offer evidence-based and person-centered care of the highest quality. We are now in an exciting phase with a strong focus on development and growth where we are expanding our cardiology mission, increasing our research activities, implementing e-health, and focusing even more on person-centered work. We are also preparing to launch a clinical physiology clinic, which will be located in the same premises as our cardiology clinic, providing good conditions for close collaboration between diagnostics and clinic.

About the role

As a doctor with us, you will meet patients in need of cardiology specialist competence for new and follow-up visits. The most common diagnosis groups are arrhythmia, heart failure, ischemia, valve disorders, and hypertension. We also perform preoperative investigations, electrical conversions, and echocardiography.

We collaborate with the hospital's other clinics, including our own intensive care unit and with primary care.

Your experience

We are looking for someone who:

• is a specialist doctor in cardiology
• has broad general cardiology experience
• has experience in pacemaker clinics
• can independently perform and interpret echocardiographic examinations.

Research experience and dual competence in internal medicine are meritorious.
