Maintenance Technician at Ekamant in Markaryd

About the Position

As a maintenance technician, you will work in a technically developing environment with a fast pace and quick decision-making processes. The work is varied; one week you may handle urgent situations such as repairs, alarms, and unplanned stops, while the next week you will work more with planned and preventive maintenance or various upgrade projects. The maintenance department works to ensure high operational reliability through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. The position is based in Markaryd but also includes maintenance work at the facility in Strömsnäsbruk.

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing urgent actions, driving problem-solving including root cause analyses, and carrying out installations and repairs. You will continuously work with preventive maintenance, inspections, improvement work, and assessments of maintenance needs. The role also involves participating in technical projects and development initiatives while contributing to a safe working environment and a reliable machine park. You will act as support in matters related to machines, methods, and working practices, ensuring that both planned and corrective maintenance is carried out as scheduled. The work also includes assembly, maintenance, and long-term development of machine equipment. On-call duty is included in the job.

About You

Formal Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• Technical education at least at the high school level, or other experience that can be assessed as equivalent
• Practical experience in maintenance technology
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and machining
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have:

• Knowledge in electrical engineering or control and regulation technology
• Boiler operator training
• Knowledge and experience with CMMS and/or EAM systems
