Your Role

Are you a dedicated engineer who wants to help shape the future of the aviation industry? We are now looking for a driven Ground Test Engineer who wants to work on exciting and challenging projects as part of a team. As a Ground Test Engineer, you will work in our hangars testing the control systems on our aircraft. You will use test equipment and ground support systems to check and verify the aircraft's functions, focusing on ensuring that the control system works as it should before flight. The role also includes weighing the aircraft and calculating its center of gravity as part of the work to establish correct weight and balance. The work is done in close collaboration with technical specialists and other engineers and involves planning, execution, and analysis of tests.

You will be a key player in our projects, where we work closely with a test team that may consist of technicians, systems engineers, and other test engineers. Together, we take the products all the way from design to a validated solution.

Travel may be required in this position.

Your Profile

We are looking for an initiative-taking engineer with a passion for technology and a desire to understand how things work in depth. You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and enjoy variety in your tasks. You are either at the beginning of your career or have a few years of experience as an engineer. Regardless, we offer great opportunities for development and learning, where you can use your technical curiosity to solve complex problems and grow in your profession.

To succeed in this role, we see that:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, engineering physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• You preferably have experience working with technical systems in the aviation industry, for example, from maintenance, testing, or development of aircraft.
• You have excellent knowledge of both Swedish and English, as our documentation is mainly in English.
• Practical experience working with electrical engineering, such as troubleshooting with a multimeter, interpreting electrical schematics, and working with electrical systems in vehicles or similar technical environments.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
