Welcome with your application and become a part of us. Welcome to one of Sweden's most exciting workplaces. Do you want to be a part of the neurological team at Uppsala University Hospital? We are looking for a new physiotherapist colleague who is interested in working with the most important thing a person has - the brain. An exciting job that allows you to contribute with your specific professional expertise.

Our Operations

The physiotherapists at Uppsala University Hospital work in many different areas throughout the hospital and meet patients in inpatient, day care, and outpatient settings. As Uppsala University Hospital is a university hospital with a mission to provide healthcare and research, you will also have the opportunity to help develop care for our patients. In our operations, we also conduct clinical placements for new physiotherapist colleagues. Supervision is therefore a natural and recurring part of the work.

In the role of physiotherapist at Uppsala University Hospital, you will meet people of many different ages and situations; the work is described as exciting, challenging, varied, and with enriching tasks. It is a given that the patient is at the center! We believe it is important to have fun at work and that everyone contributes to the well-being of the workplace. You will be part of a skilled team that supports and helps each other while also working independently. An individual competence plan is made annually with your immediate supervisor. Knowledge development also occurs through professional meetings where physiotherapists exchange knowledge and experience, as well as through networks and interdisciplinary meetings. The introduction is tailored to your circumstances.

Your Mission

The foundation of the working method is a multiprofessional team based on a holistic view of the patient. Your workplace will be in neurosurgery, primarily in inpatient care. The work also includes occasional interventions in outpatient care. You will meet patients who have undergone surgical treatment, for example, due to brain tumors, spinal problems, and Chiari malformations.

Your tasks include assessing functional ability as well as treatment and rehabilitation interventions, as well as the fitting of assistive devices. The work involves close contact between patient and staff, which places high demands on good reception, flexibility, and a well-developed ability to collaborate. You will also work closely with colleagues in neurology.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. We consider it an advantage if you have clinical experience working as a physiotherapist in the neurosurgical field, if you have been a supervisor, and have experience in teamwork. We also welcome recent graduates with a particular interest in neurology/neurosurgery.

Your Competence

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. The work involves close contact with patients and staff, which requires good reception, flexibility, a well-developed ability to collaborate, and organizational skills. We appreciate your ability to prioritize and create structure among your various tasks, as well as the courage to act according to your own convictions.

We Offer

We offer a fixed-term employment during the period 260107-270110. The position is full-time. Start date according to agreement. The position may be terminated earlier if the regular physiotherapist returns sooner than planned.
