About the Position

In the role of Area Manager for Power Grid Analysis South, you will identify and structure the need for transmission capacity and lead, plan, and allocate work related to network analyses within the South area. You will inform reinvestment planners and customer managers regarding ongoing new connection cases and network investigations. Furthermore, the role involves identifying and structuring new capacity needs and, in consultation with the unit manager, initiating new network investigations. The Area Manager is the primary point of contact for network planners at the regional grid companies and other stakeholders connecting to the transmission grid in the South area. In investigations, you will collaborate with experts from various parts of Svenska kraftnät and support the unit's analysts in planning, prioritizing, and conducting analyses in investigations, while also performing some of your own analyses.

The Network Development section at Svenska kraftnät is central to the electrification of society, and there will therefore be good opportunities to influence and develop the work processes and analysis methods that enable the grid expansion that sets the pace for the energy transition. There is currently a great interest in Svenska kraftnät's network planning and investigation activities, and many things are happening in parallel. You will also have significant opportunities to develop your leadership skills, as part of the role involves leading a team.

You will belong to the Power Grid Analysis South unit, which is responsible for designing and developing the power system based on Svenska kraftnät's role as a grid owner and meeting the external demand for grid capacity in southern Sweden. The unit currently consists of nine employees working as power system specialists and area managers, located at our various offices. We value respect for each other, curiosity, openness, and care for one another. We have a strong cohesion within the unit and support each other while exchanging experiences.
