The role does not involve personnel responsibility, but you are a coaching and motivating project manager who helps others thrive and perform in projects.

Your role

As a construction and project manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and following up on the city's construction and infrastructure projects – from idea to completion. You have overall responsibility for the projects' economy, time, and quality, ensuring that all parts are interconnected.

You work closely with colleagues, clients from other administrations and operations, contractors, and other stakeholders. You engage in dialogue with politicians, citizens, and other interested parties.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead investment and maintenance projects within construction and infrastructure
• Be responsible for project finances, budgets, and follow-ups
• Set and follow timelines for implementation
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and internal functions
• Engage in dialogue with politicians, citizens, and other stakeholders
• Participate in procurements and apply industry standard agreements (e.g., AB 04, ABT 06, AMA)
• Contribute to the development of working methods and processes within the administration

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is a civil or university engineer with several years of experience in project management within the construction and infrastructure sector. You have good knowledge of industry laws and standard agreements (such as AB 04, ABT 06, AMA) and experience in independently managing projects from start to handover. You are accustomed to working independently, have a structured approach, and are confident in the role of client. A driver's license and very good Swedish in both spoken and written form are required.

About 45 people work with the management and development of municipal roads, parks, natural areas, waste, traffic, as well as water and sewage.
