About the role

As Operations Manager (Site Manager), you will play a central role in leading, driving, and developing our operational activities. You are responsible for ensuring that our projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality, while building an engaged and well-functioning team.

You will have significant freedom to influence how we work – and to contribute to Geobear's growth journey in the Nordics.

Your main responsibilities

• Project execution

• Ensuring project quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

• Personnel responsibility and management of project teams

• Material and equipment supply and handling of changes on site

• Planning & scheduling

• Coordination of contractors and subcontractors

• Warehouse and depot management

• Work management and contract handling

• Health, safety, environment & quality (HSEQ)

• Ensuring that our high standards are followed

• Reporting of accidents and incidents

• Responsibility for tools, equipment, and quality controls

We are looking for someone who

• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Has experience leading construction or civil engineering projects in Sweden with full responsibility for safety, quality, and finances

• Is familiar with Swedish legal requirements, including the roles of BAS-P and BAS-U according to the Work Environment Act

• Is confident in coordinating subcontractors, work environment plans, and risk assessments

• Has a good understanding of Swedish building standards, permits, and labor law requirements (e.g., Byggnads collective agreement)

• Has a strong desire to drive projects forward – from planning to delivery

Extra plus

• Previous managerial or personnel responsibility experience

• Experience in site or project management

• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and with satisfied customers

• Be responsible for invoicing, payroll management, and reporting

• Ensure that hours, materials, and resources are tracked correctly

• Conduct site visits and follow up on KPIs

• Implement new systems and working methods that streamline operations

• Develop a strong and engaged team with high job satisfaction and joy at work

Organization and reporting

You will report to the BU Director – Nordics and work closely with our VP Operations and our technical teams in the field.

The role involves regular travel within Sweden.

The position is full-time with a six-month probationary period, and we hope you can start as soon as possible.
