Property Engineer with Operational Responsibility at Stockholm City Cemetery Administration

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

The Stockholm Cemetery Administration is responsible for burial services in Stockholm. The administration conducts burial and service operations with high ethical standards and is responsible for 12 cemeteries, 13 chapels, one ceremony building, and 2 crematoria with significant cultural-historical values.

We are looking for a driven property engineer who wants to strengthen our property technical competence and join us on our journey forward. We have several buildings of different functions and sizes to manage. Among our properties are everything from crematoria, staff buildings to culturally valuable chapels and the World Heritage Site Skogskyrkogården.

Welcome to us!

The Building and Landscape Unit is a team consisting of a unit manager, two property engineers, and property technicians. Other competencies within the unit include landscape architects, landscape engineers, tree specialists/arborists, and building conservators. The unit's office is located at Palmfelts Center near Globen.

A major ongoing project at the administration is the restoration of the Skogskrematorium at Skogskyrkogården. The Skogskrematorium, with three chapels and a monument hall, is the largest building at Skogskyrkogården. Skogskyrkogården is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. New technology and modern functions will be carefully installed in a culturally sensitive environment.

We offer an exciting assignment in a unique environment with varied tasks under significant personal responsibility. With us, we care about a good working environment and ensuring our employees feel involved. We are a competent, unpretentious, positive team that values a good atmosphere, sharing knowledge, and supporting each other.

As an employee of the City of Stockholm, you have access to benefits such as flexible working hours, wellness benefits, training initiatives, and seminars on current operational issues, as well as the opportunity to exchange vacation day supplements for extra time off.

If you want to be part of this context and help develop our operations, you are warmly welcome to apply for the advertised position as a property engineer.
