We are looking for a technical project manager in telecommunications for the subway section at an authority in the traffic sector.

The assignment is a consulting position based in Stockholm. The scope varies over time and is estimated to be between 50–100% depending on the project's phase.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The project manager is responsible for leading and coordinating a complex technology shift in the radio communications and telecommunications area for public transport. The role involves both operational and strategic project management with a focus on planning, execution, and governance of interoperability solutions and migration to new systems, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and further refine a detailed project plan with timelines, budget, and resource allocation

Lead and coordinate work between internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Manage requirements and ensure that the project meets impact goals

Report project status to management, steering group, and stakeholders, and manage risks

Ensure compliance with project management methods and standards

Drive and be responsible for procurements

Drive and be responsible for investigations

Manage contracts and coordinate any revisions or negotiations

Requirements (Mandatory)

Master's degree in a relevant field or 7 years of professional experience in technical development projects (infrastructure, technology, systems, vehicles, etc.)

At least 5 years of documented experience in project management with primary responsibility in at least 1 project with complex content (such as many interfaces, integration between multiple systems, complex implementations) with cross-functional teams through multiple project phases (with responsibility for time, budget, risk, delivery, etc.). To be valid, the experience must not be more than two years old in the relevant field.

At least 5 years of documented experience in radio communications (TETRA, LTE, 5G, or equivalent radio communication solutions). To be valid, the experience must not be more than two years old in the relevant field.

At least 2 years of documented experience in requirements specification and procurement work (documented experience of working on projects conducted according to LOU/LUF) from a public organization.

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Desirable

At least 1 year of documented experience in complex integration solutions with an understanding of IWF (InterWorking Function) and its role in future interoperability for mission-critical facilities.

At least 1 year of experience in leading app development in mobile telephony and/or LMR (Land Mobile Radio).

At least 1 year of documented experience in leading the design and construction of the core network for mobile communication according to 3GPP standards, both for 4G and 5G.

To be valid, the experience must not be more than two years old in the relevant field.
