ABOUT THE POSITION

Tjeders in Malmköping is a leading player in alarm and communication solutions for healthcare, care, and security. Their products contribute to creating safety and security in society and are used in both critical security applications and everyday care environments. As a Lead Hardware Engineer in electronics, you will drive and be responsible for the entire hardware development process and design of electronic solutions, from concept to finished product. You will be a key person in the team, working closely with software and mechanical developers, as well as supporting purchasing and production. The role involves both strategic work and practical design, focusing on ensuring high quality and regulatory compliance.

You are expected to be on-site in Malmköping at least 2 days a week, but preferably more, as production, labs, etc. are located here.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving and developing hardware architecture and designing new products. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring that the solutions meet both technical requirements and market needs.

  • Design and construct circuit boards and PCB layout.
  • Establish technical specifications, schematics, and BOM lists.
  • Lead and perform EMS and functional tests, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., EN 50130).
  • Support purchasing in component selection and management of End-of-Life components.
  • Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, and production teams.
  • Review technical solutions and participate in strategic project planning.
  • Develop requirements specifications in consultation with the customer and innovation manager.
  • Document design processes and technical specifications.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a completed master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar field
  • Has several years of experience in hardware design and development
  • Has in-depth knowledge of circuit design, PCB layout, and signal processing
  • Has experience with CAD tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar
  • Can speak and write in Swedish and English as both languages are used in your daily work

It is a merit if you have:

  • Experience with Radio, UHF such as LoRa and BLE
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI and certification processes
  • Experience in project management and leadership
