Group Leader for Cleaning Services

We are now looking for a Group Leader for our Cleaning Services who wants to continue delivering high-quality cleaning within Chalmers.

Department Information

The Service Department is a results unit that operates within Chalmers. We provide services for internal and external operations in our vicinity. We are responsible for services within cleaning, janitorial services, digital printing, and transport services, etc. The cleaning services are organized into 5 groups of about 15-20 employees each. We are responsible for all cleaning of Chalmers' premises and continuously work to update our cleaning methods and keep up with the technological developments in the cleaning field to deliver a quality-conscious and professional result.

Job Description

We are now looking for a group leader for one of our five workgroups. The workgroup consists of about 15 employees who work daily with cleaning in Chalmers' various environments.

As a group leader, you have a coordinating responsibility for the daily operations of the group's tasks as well as additional cleaning such as floor care and deep cleaning. Some follow-up of the operations is included, such as compiling work time reporting, managing absences, conducting quality controls, and creating invoice documentation. You are also to some extent the contact person for our internal/external customers/operations and external suppliers. Other common tasks include ordering cleaning products, providing orientation to new employees regarding cleaning methods and work practices, as well as driving or participating in development projects and procurements as needed. The position also includes working with cleaning in daily operations. You will be part of a grouping with other group leaders and work directly under the unit manager.

Employment Type

Permanent full-time employment. A six-month probationary period applies.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is attentive, good at building good relationships, and interested in seeing people develop and grow in their work. You have personal maturity with a clear expression and lead yourself and others with courage and integrity. In your work, you are structured and a good organizer. Of course, you have a high sense of service and quality and are customer-focused. To fulfill the assignment, it is necessary that you have basic computer skills in Office and are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Desirable qualifications include:

• Experience in cleaning in a school environment.
• Documented good leadership experience
• SRY or equivalent education
