About Us

The waste management in Vänersborg municipality is part of Kretslopp and Water.

The operation includes the collection and transport of household waste. We are also responsible for the operation of the Recycling Park.

We are now looking for committed team leaders. Your main tasks will be to distribute work tasks and lead and coach employees in their daily work, manage substitutes, and ensure that routines are updated and followed. Some administrative tasks are included, such as reporting in various systems and approving payroll deviations, among others.

As a team leader, you will work closely with everyone in the organization and will play an important role in driving development forward in collaboration with the unit manager.

Responsibilities

As a team leader with us, you will have an important role in our operations. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coaching approximately 20 employees
• The daily operation of the organization regarding absence management, substitute procurement, and scheduling
• Inventory management of bags, waste bins, etc.
• Ensuring that vehicles and machines are in good condition
• Participating in projects
• Updating and ensuring compliance with work routines
• Participating in operational work as needed
• Contact with subscribers and customers
• Working in customer and personnel systems

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school education and at least 2 years of experience in a team leader role within waste management, transport, or similar fields.

You are self-sufficient in your role as a team leader and confident in prioritizing and making decisions. Furthermore, we see that you are flexible, outgoing, and communicative with the ability to handle employees, conflicts, customers, and contractors effectively. You have computer skills and a C driver's license with YKB. Experience in the waste industry is an advantage.

Being flexible means that you easily adapt to changing circumstances and can quickly change your perspective and approach. You see opportunities in changes. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Conditions

The position is a temporary contract from 3/2 to 31/12 - 2025.

The working hours are scheduled for weekdays from 7 AM to 4 PM.

Vänersborgs Kretslopp & Vatten is a balance sheet unit that organizationally belongs to the Community Building Administration. Vänersborgs Kretslopp & Vatten is responsible for the production and distribution of drinking water as well as the drainage and treatment of wastewater and stormwater. Furthermore, Vänersborgs Kretslopp & Vatten is responsible for reading and replacing water meters. The operation also includes the Waste Management Department.
