About the organization

Within Sahlgrenska University Hospital, there are three sterile technical units: Mölndal, Sahlgrenska, and Östra.

As a sterile technician, you are an important part of the care chain. You contribute to ensuring that healthcare has the right conditions to prevent healthcare-associated infections.

We are now looking for two new colleagues for temporary positions at Mölndal for six months, with the possibility of permanent employment. As an employee with us in Sterile Technology, you will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and development-oriented environment. We offer shorter training sessions and lectures on sterile technology and its processes. In Sterile Technology, we provide a stable introduction with continuous check-ins with supervisors.

Job responsibilities

The mission of Sterile Technology is to be responsible for and perform the entire cleaning and sterilization process, as well as work in the sterile storage with order picking for the hospital's operating departments. In addition, we also have external customers such as Närhälsan.

You will work both independently and in a team. We use individual schedule planning (ISP) which allows you to influence your own schedule to some extent. One of the positions involves working days, evenings, and weekends. The other position works Monday to Friday during the day and evening.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is a trained sterile technician (YH) or has other equivalent education/experience that the employer deems relevant. We expect you to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We place great emphasis on quality and patient safety, so it is advantageous if you have experience working in clean rooms or in sterile operations with high hygiene standards. You should have computer skills and an interest in technology as the development of medical technology equipment and surgical instruments is constantly ongoing.

You are meticulous, organized, and flexible. It is natural for you to work both independently and together with your colleagues, prioritizing tasks according to the needs of the organization. You are solution-oriented when problems arise and take the initiative to develop the organization. You have good collaboration skills and care about a good working climate. Experience with the traceability system T-Doc and instrument handling is also seen as an advantage.

The work involves heavy lifting, so good physical condition is a prerequisite, and at times it is fast-paced.
