The Role of Assistant with Us

The position is a combined role where you will work as an assistant in the kitchen, laundry, and cleaning. As an assistant with us, your tasks will include some preparation and serving of meals. Your duties also include dishwashing, cleaning, laundry, and engaging with the care recipients. You will order supplies such as food and other consumables. You will work independently but collaborate with other staff to provide good service. We work in various IT systems for ordering and planning, and we provide training in these.

The position is a permanent employment that will be at Smedjan's short-term unit.

We also offer a temporary position within the service team where you will work four days a week, three days at Smedjan and one day within the service team where you clean out for care recipients in regular housing.

Your Profile

As a person, you are accommodating in your approach and attentive to your surroundings. You are positive, service-oriented, flexible, and have a good demeanor. For you, it is natural to be a representative of the organization and to focus on our care recipients. Since we work cross-professionally in care and support, a manual transmission driver's license is a requirement. To manage orders, you need sufficient IT skills, and since you meet our care recipients daily and manage orders, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language both in speech and writing for the tasks. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• turned 18 years old
• experience in care and support or similar work
• at least a high school education
• good computer skills
• B driver's license for manual transmission

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer you a permanent position at 100% with a start date to be agreed upon, as well as a temporary position at 80% until September 30, 2025, with a start date to be agreed upon. You will work according to a schedule that is set for daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

The positions will be part of the Service Team but will have their assignment at Smedjan. We also work cross-professionally, which means that if needed, we help each other across boundaries at Smedjan and also in other operations within Care and Support.
