The reception service with a broad commitment is the basis of the work. We also have a good collaboration with the municipality. Backe Health Center is a health center with a rural profile. Here, doctors, district nurses, medical secretaries, nursing assistants, and cleaners work.

We have a close collaboration with the Health Center in Strömsund, where there is an X-ray reception with an X-ray nurse. A psychosocial unit with a curator and psychologist, physiotherapist, MVC, and BVC that is based at the health center in Strömsund and is in Backe on certain days.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a district doctor with us means that you assess, investigate, treat, and advise patients in primary care, with various types of complaints and problems. You work with health-promoting work, group activities, and you collaborate with other professionals at the health center. You will work based on evidence-based methods individually, in group activities, and via the internet.

We actively work to develop our treatment interventions for good living habits and to prevent long-term sick leave and promote a quick return to work.

The position may involve work at the Health Center in Strömsund as we have a close collaboration. Strömsund Health Center has about 5000 listed patients and has fresh and functional premises; adjacent to the health center is the Primary Care Department (Näva).

The position also includes on-call duty certain evenings and weekends that we share with Strömsund and another actor. It also includes teaching, supervision, and training of medical students at Umeå University as the Primary Care area has the status of a university hospital unit. There is also the possibility of remote work to a certain extent.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a newly graduated specialist in general medicine or an experienced specialist in general medicine with Swedish authorization. You have a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. Having your own research and research supervision is meritorious but not a formal requirement for the position.

You enjoy working in a team with other professionals close to the patient and would like to contribute to the development of the business. The team before the individual is important to us.

As a person, we see that you are positive, humble, and prefer to work in a solution-oriented manner. In addition, we would like you to have a structured and flexible working style. You should have good initiative, an open mind, and be open to changes within the area of operations. There are requirements for independent work, good reception, good collaboration skills, and professional responsibility.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. For the position, a B driver's license is desirable.

OTHER

Primary care is a healthcare unit within the region's health and medical care administration, and higher education for medical degrees and research is conducted there. This means that all applicants must be reviewed by the Research and Development responsible before any employment. Because of this, the application must include the following accompanying documents:

• Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where the doctor completed their basic training. This also applies to doctors trained in another EU country and in countries outside the EU.
• Authorization certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
• Specialist competence certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
• Certificate/documentation of teaching experience and possibly other pedagogical merits.
• If applicable, certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Associate Professor, as well as the date of the disputation and the title of the dissertation.
• Documented supervisor training.
• If applicable, a fully updated publication list.
• Possibly further documented merit regarding, for example, clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, leadership experience, and anything else the applicant wishes to highlight as meritorious for the position applied for.
