X-ray Nurse at Västervik Hospital

As an X-ray nurse with us, you will have an exciting and varied everyday life alongside your colleagues.

At our clinic, we often see ourselves as problem solvers and collaborate between professions to achieve the best results for all parties, with the patient's conditions and needs at the center. Our operations are an important part of the care chain, and in your role as an X-ray nurse, you will meet different types of patients from the hospital's various clinics and flows. We are located at a medium-sized hospital with all the advantages of being a small hospital with short decision-making paths while offering advanced care. We have a high-tech equipment park where we perform the most common X-ray examinations such as computed tomography, MRI, ultrasound, and conventional X-ray. Additionally, we have nuclear medicine and osteoporosis at our clinic, as well as our own section for mammography. Recently, we have started with CT coronary angiography, and we have projects underway that involve a new hybrid lab in 2025, as well as the expansion of another MRI in the coming years, to mention a few of the planned activities in the near future.

About You

You who are applying enjoy collaborating with others to create the best possible care for the patient. You communicate easily with other people and find it easy to build new relationships, which allows you to contribute to good service for all clinics at the hospital. You have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues and value, just like us, good quality in what you do. As a person, you are flexible and enjoy a varied everyday life with many different points of contact. For this position, you need to be a licensed X-ray nurse but can be at the beginning of your career; personal suitability is what we value the most.

The Radiology Clinic at Västervik Hospital consists of 55 employees who perform about 60,000 examinations per year. The clinic operates qualified services around the clock, and through our good collaboration, we also manage to maintain short waiting times. We also operate in Vimmerby.
