Do you have experience working with individuals in need of protection and support? We are now seeking dedicated substitute staff who want to make a difference in people's lives by providing safety and support to victims of violence.

About the organization With extensive experience in supporting individuals affected by violence, Patia offers protective placements in safely located accommodations across the country. We provide a secure refuge in a protected environment for those needing protection from intimate partner violence or honor-related violence and oppression. Our accommodations are open to women, with or without children, who need protection and support. We also offer protected housing for male victims of violence and couples in the form of private apartments.

At Patia, victims of violence have the opportunity to find respite and begin processing their experiences. We provide both emergency interventions and crisis support, as well as long-term assistance in finding their own housing and establishing themselves in a new location.

About the position We are currently looking for substitute staff for our protected accommodation Kvinnohuset Ljung. The operation is staffed around the clock, which means that working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, nights (with sleeping on-call) and weekends.

As a substitute staff member, you will work to create a safe and secure environment for women and children in need of protection.

Your responsibilities In your role, you will be responsible for monitoring the safety, security, and well-being of the victims of violence. You will provide support during interactions with authorities such as social services, the tax agency, healthcare, police, and legal counsel, thereby contributing to creating stability and security for the individual.

Your work includes, among other things:

• Providing protective and support interventions for victims of violence and children
• Administrative tasks such as daily record-keeping according to the Social Services Act
• Childcare as needed, for example, when the guardian has meetings with the police or legal counsel.
• Performing practical tasks such as cleaning and shopping to create a safe and functioning everyday life

We are looking for someone who is independent and goal-oriented, with a strong desire to use your skills and experience to make a difference. You have a genuine commitment to the target group and are a mature, secure person who remains calm even in stressful and demanding situations.

You have a natural ability to create a calm, safe, and positive environment for both clients and colleagues. As a relationship-building and empathetic person, you can build trust while also setting clear and consistent boundaries. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Your qualifications

To be considered for the position, we expect you to meet the following requirements:

• Completed or ongoing post-secondary education (at least 2 years) in social work, for example as a social educator, social worker, or other relevant education.
• Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Experience working in protected housing, HVB, or support housing.
• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• Training in VINR (Violence in Close Relationships).
• Competence in HRV (Honor-Related Violence) and crisis management.
• Knowledge of methods such as Trappan-samtal, FREDA, and PATRIARK.
• Post-secondary education (at least 2 years) in social work, for example as a social educator, social worker, or other relevant education.
