We are now looking for a Chief Architect to strengthen MaintMaster's architectural governance!

As Chief Architect, you will work alongside our cross-functional development teams, both in Linköping and internationally. The focus is on improving what we develop in our daily work, how we develop it, and generally how we work with everything related to software development at MaintMaster. You will also work closely with our CPO and CTO and play a key role in defining and guiding the teams towards our overall product vision.

At MaintMaster, you will work with the latest technology in areas such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and SaaS, but (surprise!) also to some extent with legacy. This may involve older code that needs to be maintained in the best possible way or gradually transformed, given what is possible versus desirable. Depending on scope, user needs, and the state of the code, you will be an important decision-maker in how we design our software and solve the challenges that arise!

• A relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge in software development
• Comfortable working with both front-end and back-end, databases, and related infrastructure
• Strategic mindset
• You are passionate about helping teams succeed
• Documented leadership ability, but not necessarily personnel responsibility
• Excellent communication skills
• Very good knowledge of both Swedish and English

It is a plus if you have:

• Experience with modern CI and CD solutions
• Experience with AI, machine learning, and/or Business Intelligence
• Experience working in B2B SaaS businesses

You can lift your gaze from the individual problem and take a strategic approach to what is being developed and how it is developed, with the desired outcome in mind. You can balance between what is needed now and later, as well as between what is possible and what is perfect. You have a genuine commitment to agile working methods and easily collaborate with everyone – from management to product owners, UX designers, and development teams across multiple continents. You are neither a "PowerPoint architect" nor someone who digs into the codebase at a detailed level and works alone to solve problems.
